Wilderness of Rocks from Marshall Gulch

Length: 11.9 miles (~6.5 - 7 hours)

Highest Elevation: 9080ft.

Lowest Elevation: 6980ft.

Elevation change: 2,100ft

This Mt. Lemmon Hike is best described from The Sierra Club Tucson Trail Guide;

This is a steep difficult hike with not a lot of shade so PLEASE BRING:

  • Sun Protection
  • Good hiking shoes
  • At least 3 litters of water!!
  • Food for snacks and a full lunch.

I may be going at a fast pace but I always recommend hiking at your own pace, no one will be left behind. Since it's a beautiful hike there will be plenty of short stops for photo moments or a quick snack. If you are carpooling please bring some cash to pay your driver for gas.

I look forward to all of you joining me. SO LETS HAVE SOME FUN!

    It was a strenuous hike! We went fast but I was able to shoot a few nature photos that I posted here:

    Did the Wilderness of Rocks from the summit of Mt. Lemmon Friday morning and it was just beautiful. I'm excited about all of you joining me this Sunday. There was some windy/cold spots along the trail so a light wind jacket may come in handy unless your like me and charish the cooler temperatures.
