Play Jazz!

Let's get together and play some music. Here's a list of some tunes we'll be working on:

So What

Call me Irresponsible

A Fine Romance

It's highly recommended that you bring a copy of The Real Book (Sixth Edition). You're also free to bring any other music (maybe even your own compositions?) you'll want to read through.

We'll be in Studio C at The Studio.

These studios run anywhere from $38-$66 for all three hours, so please bring a few dollars to help defray the expenses.

Note the RSVP end date - this is in place so I know how many people are coming (and thus, which room to reserve).

Please RSVP only if you will definitely be there.

Something came up, and may not be able to make it. In that case, I'll miss you guys - but see you soon, again!

I made some simple arrangements of the horn parts for Blue Bossa and Take the A Train, and have added them to the Files section on the Meetup website (click More). If you print out the file for your horn we can play the arrangements tomorrow - in order to add a little something to our jam session.

This sounds like a lot of fun. Any thoughts about tunes for 5/18?

I have the Real Book, 6th ed. If I go through some of the tunes from previous sessions, is that likely give me at least some foundation for Saturday?

Hi. I noticed that in a previous session you all worked on the songs Autumn Leaves, Satin Doll, and Summertime. Since there's a singer, these might be good tunes to work on again. I bought Real Book 6 yesterday and I see Summertime's not included but I assume you play it in A minor. Don
