Gordon's Walks - Wimbledon

(Though Wimbledon may appear far, it's just 18 minutes from Waterloo using the mainline trains - Oyster accepted!)

This is a FREE guided walking tour to explore the sights and sounds in and around the Wimbledon district in South-West London.

We will meet outside Wimbledon station (***the main exit near platforms 1-4***) at 1 pm, and will wait 10 minutes for anyone who's late. OUTSIDE the station near a short flight of stairs to the right of a stretch of bicycle stands.

We will be taking in the architectural and historic sights along the way. The tour will last approximately 3 hours, and we can all go for a drink thereafter. This will be at the Prince of Wales, 2 Hartfield Road, SW19 3TA.

Hope to see you there!

__Why you should go__

Even if you have "been there before", this walk is different! The walk is designed to be eye-opening for everyone - yes, even if you have lived and breathed London all your life.

Also, walking is hugely beneficial to your health. You probably don't need me to tell you that.

Finally, we are a great group that you would love to have a pleasant social walk with!

__If you are late__

I will post a URL link to my LIVE location for smartphone users to view the group's location and catch up with us.

The route of the tour will double back to the meeting location at approx 1.20 pm.

A contact number will also be posted for you to contact us.

If you enjoy the free tour, please consider making an online donation to the Red Cross. They do an amazing job of helping the thousands of lives devastation by disasters. Every penny helps!

__Additional notes__

You are advised to dress warmly, wear good walking shoes and be prepared for any drizzle.

I might be a bit late, and my 'smartphone' is not actually very smart. Any hints (to someone who knows Wimbledon quite well) as to which way you'll be heading first?
