Let's meet up and play Ultimate Frisbee!
It's a social non-contact game, beginners welcome.
We are going to tryout a new pitch in Regent's Park, one that's closer to the pub. Let's meet up at the pinpoint location specified in the meetup map. Please make it on time so we can start promptly and have more playing time!
For those of you that haven’t played before, Ultimate Frisbee is a great game that is played outdoors and works well with mixed teams. All you require is a frisbee, a pair of legs for running, and one or more hands for catching.
It is a non-contact sport. Team sizes are flexible, but to get a good game it would be ideal to have 8+ people RSVP (all abilities welcome). We will play for an hour or so before we head to the Earl of Camden to have some food and drink while watching the game. Let me do my thang..There is a chance that we might get 20% off our food and drinks again this week!
This is the 11th Frisbee meet up for this group because the earlier ones were AWESOME! The weather is warm, so bring a bottle of water, also there might be mosquito's, so bring insect repellent. Have a snack a few hours before so you have energy. If you feel tired, during the game you can sit down and take a break. Bring a pair of Trainers, as you'll be running around.
Please arrive on time as we will explain the rules at the beginning. Guests are welcome, please just update your RSVP with + for the number!
Info for those new:
Some quick rules:
# Its a passing game, you can't run while in possession of the frisbee
# The opposing team can mark you, but only one person can mark each player.
# Marking should be at "arms length" - as its non-contact!
After the meet up, we'll go for a drink at a nearby pub: The Earl of Camden. Feel free to join us for drinks if you cant make the frisbee, although i highly recommend not missing it.
In case of bad weather, please check the meetup at 5pm on the day to check still going ahead.
Cheers, and have fun!
