This will be an informal Meetup of people interested in TWiki - the open source enterprise wiki and collaboration platform.
The meeting will take place in a Sponsor Session Room room on the Expo Floor of Web 2.0 Berlin taking place at the Berlin Messe.
Rod Beckstrom, who co-founded TWIKI.NET together with Peter Thoeny, will be present to facilitate the discussion.
Rod really hopes to meet many great TWiki users and starfish networkers in Berlin!
Rod will keynote at Web 2.0 on his book "The Starfish and The Spider: The Unstoppable Power of Leaderless Organizations" at 3 PM and there will be a discussion in the Sponsor Session room at 4 PM about the book before the TWiki Meetup starts at 5 PM.
“ The highlight was hearing Manfred Krauss ? who runs TWiki at the Freie Universitaet Berlin talk about how they use it all over the university and why they love it. They use it for many parts of intranet, for research projects and knowledge management. He finds it light, fast, and powerful. They program special applications as well in the system.
Also heard from a TWiki user at RedHat Jboss about how they use TWiki and where they would like to see it go.
Rod Beckstrom (writing) talked about TWIKI.NET as a sister company supporting TWiki and the TWiki.org open source community.
Other great feedback from users and interested parties as well. ”
