The Full Moon channeling with be about letting go of the pain that is covered up by addictions and diversions. The New Moon channeling will be about receiving and accepting the self in the present moment.

Council of Change: We discuss releasing the addictions through the process of understanding the steps that go on and having each individual look at how their way is personalized. Addictions have been around for a long time in various names throughout history but the basic understanding is that they are diverting of the focus of individuals from the present moment.

First of all, the reason this has been around is because there has been at times great pain in individuals and in cultures and so this pain has been hard to accept and hard to be present to and deal with.

And then the second aspect is the memory of the body, of the mental field, various ways that events are remembered. This memory has been from childhood or passed from the experience of one lifetime to another. And so in a simple way the unwinding or releasing of these addictions is to face the pain and the feelings whatever the source.

When facing the pain or the source of the memory in the body, the intensity may increase beyond what is experienced when you divert your attention away from it. When the pain or intensity gets to a certain level you then start looking for the addiction or the addictive behavior to change your mind or divert your attention away from the pain or intensity. Now is the time to face that turning away!

So make a decision and decide to be with that pain or intensity, whatever level it goes to. You might need to pull over to the side of the road if you are driving or just have some place that you can be with yourself or you may be able just to continue on depending on the level of the intensity. But stay aware of what is happening to you inside.

Just have the willingness to go through and have it dissolve whatever it looks like and whatever intensity it rises to, just be with that pain. The experience may be like riding the bucking bronco or surfing the waves - that is a better analogy. Riding the top but knowing whatever is going on is happening underneath you is there but not real and this experience is something that you will move through, yes?

And so the other aspect is to focus on what you feel like afterward if you do the diversion or the addiction. Realize that the feelings and experience you have when you do the diversion is also not a good one also. The undoing is that you no longer want to experience the addiction aftermath so now you are getting more to the primary cause: the avoidance of the intensity or the pain. Being with that pain or intensity is the so-called cure of the situation. In the addictive process you are switching the intensity and pain of the moment for the pain of the aftermath of the addictive behavior. You might as well deal with the primary pain and be done with it instead of repeating the addictive cycle.

Questioner: So are you saying that the addiction piece is up for the whole consciousness right now?
CoC: It is. So many of the ways that people put their effort and time is away from being with themselves. The reward is that as you are able to be present with yourself more, then this experience is a healing experience. It's a knowing of the self to be safe, safe is not the exact word, but we will just use that. You are safe in the moment, you are alive and full of energy from the earth by being present. This seems to be the goal of the humans now to be in the very present moment. That eliminates a lot of the other more difficult ways of dealing with consciousness, just to be present in the moment. In a way it is simpler and easier, yes? It allows you to be in tune with what is next, to resonate with what is next and allow that resonance to be felt, present and knowing - connected with the knowing, connected with what the living field delivers for you and what you put into the living field. There are many benefits.


Q: So you say that that is what humanity seems to be focused on? Are you saying that collectively we have made a choice, that the direction that spiritual awakening is happening is through the present moment? I know there are many paths but I do realize that this is coming through many teachers right now.
CoC: Yes, it's the vehicle to resolve those drives or intensities that humans have worked with that end up in the wrong destination, in the destination that does not solve what they are trying to solve.


Q: Ah, so it is a way to deal with the intensity other than going into the addictive behavior.
CoC: Yes it is. And to realize also that it is OK to be intense about things, feel the depths of the energies without having to divert from them. It;'s another form that the divergence takes. There are things that go on in the body and the energy field that one does not understand mentally, so the mind tries to take over and divert and do something else that is more familiar or well known. And indeed these unknown energies do create and birth other things but this is the shift of humanity into this new way of living. This is part of the new way of living, the new earth and many other phrases, heaven on earth, yes.


Q: We still need recreation though or relaxation or just not be in the intensity, it is just to do it in a healthy way or not ways that hurt.
CoC: Yes, in various ways to start stepping down from the old ways. If you had eaten foods that would really take you out of the body then just take some steps down from that and do something not as much, like drink some water, or whatever, foods that you know are not as disruptive. It is a learning process and stepping away is done one step at a time. And it is also a way to find peace in the moment, to find the peace that is there.


Q: Is that what you are saying a practice, to find the peace?
CoC: Yes, the peace is the result. So you do these things with intensities and deal with them and choose not to do what you have done in the past. And allow yourself to go through the intensity or the pain or the fear whatever it is. Just allow that to be present and you will open this time in the moment.


Q: It passes in other words.
CoC: Yes. And the next time it is easier. This is the lotus blossom opening from all of the mud and gunk.


Q: And maybe love ourselves to have the courage to do it.
CoC: Yes, oh, yes. This is the time. You have been here many times and this is the time to open. Leave the past behind and open the present moment and leave the future to itself.
