Halloween Gig/Going Rate Discussion

Bob Petersen, the manager of Grumpy's bar in Minneapolis, is looking for a tarot reader (or readers) to work on Halloween night. While he's open to negotiating payment with the readers he hires, he mentioned the possibility of paying an hourly rate himself; that way, the readers could also get tips or a lower per-reading fee from customers. (Basically, he just wants to make sure the readings aren't too expensive for people at the party.)

If I were doing it, I'd probably charge $5 a quick three-minute/three-card reading AND I'd put out a tip jar ... but maybe the going rate is something we should discuss as a group. What do you think is a fair price for public readings? Add your comment here: http://tarot.meetup.c...
