Gotta a do a Christmas show. I'm thinking it should be similar to the Harty Boys Save Christmas, which we saw last year. Well some of us saw it. Ok, I saw it. Anyway, same theater company, and same people -Joshua Scrimshaw, Levi Weinhagen, and Andy Kraft.
Show starts at 7. Let's get there around 6 for the usual food, drinks, mingling, etc. Tickets are $15/ $12 in adv or with fringe button. I'll bring a couple extra buttons in case you don't have one.

Deb, which show was that? Josuha's show this year was "The Gentleman's Pratfall Club". Was that it? Or were you thinking of Joseph Scrimshaw? Or another year?

You explained your interpretation nicely, Gary. I apologize for the roughness in my review of the performance. I compared this one with another one they did at the Fringe, children friendly, and I thought that one was brilliant-Scrimsha family. This one wasn't the same level of brilliance I guess I was expecting. And that's probably how I should have said it instead...sorry.~

Sorry Deb, I disagree with your review. Please don't take it personally. I don't mean it to be. I know comedy is a subjective thing. For instance I think I'm hilarious, but for some reason, Sarah doesn't always seem to think so.
Some background that might explain why the show didn't meet your expectations - Joshua's company (Comedy Suitcase) aims for "comedy for all ages". What an 8 year old finds funny may hold no humor for a 40 year old. I thought the show was funny, but then I'm a lot more like an 8 year old than a 40 year old.
Another thing about Josuha is he's a big physical comedy guy. As Curly and his Stooge Bros have shown, you either like it or you don't.
Perhaps I should have done a better job of explaining what to expect. I'll certainly make more of an effort at that next time.

Show was awful. (Don't anyone else go to this one!!) Appeared to have been written by a bunch of pre-adolescents. People at this meetup always nice to talk with though!~ :)

Does anyone live in the NE Minneapolis area who might be willing to carpool? I can get myself there, but I might want/need a ride home. I live in the vicinity of 37th & Johnson.
December 7
Is anyone interested in food / drinks after the show? They have food and drinks in the theater (one of the reasons we keep coming back), but that doesn't stop us from having more food after the show. We've gone to Moto-I and Herkimer's recently. Certainly could go again, but I'm also open to new suggestions.
Let me know if you're interested and if you have any thoughts on where you might want to go.

I'm getting emails from people telling me that they've bought tickets. That's nice, but really you don't need to tell me. I'm your Meetup organizer, not your mom or dad or even your Uncle Bob who showed up unannounced last Thanksgiving because he had no where else to go after his divorce and you felt obligated to friend.

This show could sell out. I just bought Sarah and my tickets. It's a small theater and Christmas shows have been selling out (like the BNW last night). You can order online at this URL http://www.brownpapertickets.co...
or you can call [masked] and order. If you call, you'll save $1.41 service fee per ticket.
