Replying "not attending"

There is no need to RSVP that you are "not attending" a meetup unless you're changing from a yes to a no.  A lack of a yes, means no.  At least in meetup.  When you RSVP no, it just makes me feel rejected.  Like my meetups aren't good enough for you.  Then I get depressed and sit at home with the lights off listening to country music.  I hate country music.  Don't make me do this.  RSVP "yes" or just silently slink away.

$5.00 annual

This covers: Membershipt dues (cost $144 / year), time, expense, blood, sweat, and tears

  • The dues are just suggested. This thing costs me $144 / yr. Over the 3 years I've done it, that's over $400. It adds up. Anything helps. If you do donate and later change your mind, no problem. I'm happy to give your money back.
