Upper Bristlecone trail - with a twist

We'll hike the Bristlecone trail till we get to a little known trail that will take us up to the upper upper Bristlecone trail. This is where a huge grove of bristlecone pine grow. We'll then hike along a ridge line with incredible views of Mummy Mountain and Mt. Charleston, over to the Bonanza trail. From there, several routes will become available.

Hike will be 5-6 miles long, with 1200' of gain. Pace will be moderate, and there will be no scrambling. Temperature will be 30 degrees cooler than Las Vegas. Bring 1-2 quarts of liquid, and lunch.

Don't forget your windbreaker, camera, and sense of adventure.

Due to a lack of parking, I would prefer you meet up at Del Taco, unless you go up with a full car. Let's do what we can for the environment.

Hi I will have Denise S. and a guest, we would like to meet at the trail head on Mount Charleston, can you tell me where that is and what time to be up there? Is it near where you park for Fletcher Canyon or Mary Jane falls, or is it towards Lee Canyon? Thanks!
