Everybody should be able to run their own open-source, indie web applications on hardware they own. That way, only data that we want to get shared gets shared, the rest stays home, nobody uses us as sharecroppers for their bottom line, we can control which apps we'd like to run, and we set our own terms of service. No backdoors!
The Indie Box Project has spawned a Linux distro called UBOS that makes this easy, on all sorts of hardware from Raspberry PI's to virtual x86 servers.
Come by during office hours, to discuss UBOS, indie web applications, your Raspberry Pi and other little devices that can run UBOS. While there is usually some news, office hours are intended to be open discussion time where you can bring your subjects, as long as they relate to UBOS somehow.
