Before it gets too cold we thought we would have a Night Sky Watch.
Damien Nott, who spoke recently at a Exopolitics Sydney meeting about his sightings in Dunedoo, will be attending. Hopefully he may attract some craft!
We are meeting at Turimetta Headland along the cliffs at the reserve overlooking the sea. Look out for a car with balloons to mark the spot.
Lots of parking avaliable.
Directions: Turn into Coronation Street from Pittwater Road, drive past Mona Vale Hospital turning right up to the cliffs.
Suggestions what to bring:
Drink - probably warm! No alcohol please.
Fold Up Chair
Camera , any night vision equipment, binoculars etc
Wear warm clothing - jacket, beanie, thick sox - maybe a blanket to wrap up in. Will be cold especially if there is any wind.
There are no toilet facilities so either the surrounding bush or a short drive to McDonalds , cnr Warriewood Rd and Pittwater Rd.
NB Sky Watch will be cancelled if the weather is wet, very windy or total cloud cover. I will advise via e-mail in the afternoon if we have to cancel.
Is a free event.
Hope you can come along and you never know we may see "something unusual" but guaranteed to be a fun time with lots of interesting conversation.
