What kinds of events/places do you like to photograph?

Now a Days / When I shoot plants and trees they continue to live. When I shoot insects and animals they continue to live. When I shoot woman and man they continue to live. For now a days my weapon of choice is my camera, my wonderful camera. D.Amaral 3/6/12 Prefer shootin' wildlife, nature and macro. Not too crazy 'bout people but my interests are expanding.

What kind of equipment do you use?

Pentax dslrs. K5 and K20D, mostly Tamron and Sigma lenses and Pentax kit glass. I also have a couple of Pentax ME Supers, a Pentax AF ZX-30, and a 1958 Petri 1.9 that was the first real camera I used as a young teen (but then sports took over). I also have a p&s Canon Power Shot SD 1200 IS.

How would you describe your level of experience?

I'm not totally ignorant about the hobby but it seems the more I learn the more I forget. Definitely an amateur.

Howdy! Noticed that no one in the group uses Pentax equipment. Well now, someone does! Lived in Ukiah 29 years, enjoy art (oils & acrylics) but now my interests are toward photography and I've got a ton to learn yet.
