We are going to THE MECCA - A Dallas Icon for 75 years!
The Mecca has moved from it’s home on Harry Hines of (44 years) to it’s new Live Oak Street location. (Next door to the Wine Therapist.)
Having been featured on the Food Network in recent years.
Listed on D Magazine's 2010 list of The 20 Best Breakfasts in Dallas.
And what's that...a visit from Emeril Lagasse.
Coconut merengue pie. Yum!
KNOWN for their Larger than LIFE Cinnamon rolls - don't let this picture ( see below) deceive you -YES, it IS as large as the plate! EASILY six inches in diameter, this very fragrant cinnamon roll slathered with a sugary white glaze. I'm told they are baked FRESH throughout the day.
Pictured are Steve and Amanda Boisen of The Barnkickers from a recent visit to Dallas. Be sure to check out their website for some Ukulele tunes. http://www.thebarnkickers.com/
But it's not ALL about Cinnamon rolls, but almost , they are best know for their down home cooking and comfort food. Check out Nancy's meatloaf and all the fix'ins!
Breakfast and lunch is served all day long, and its one of the best places in Dallas to get yourself some comfort food.
