DO NOT SIGN-UP FOR A WORKSHOP UNTIL YOU HAVE PURCHASED YOUR UKULELE ON-LINE FIRST FROM THE WOLFELELE WEBSITE
We are now ready to place orders for the ukulele kits for our uke building workshop!
Parts of this may seem a little complicated, so please remember that there are really only 3 simple steps:
1) Order your uke kit
2) Sign up for a workshop
3) Attend a workshop and build your uke
Do these steps in order, and everything will be fine and easy!
ABOUT THE WOLFELE UKES
I did want to give a brief review of the regular ukes so everyone will know what they are getting into. The Bad: These ukes are not $500 ukes! The wood produces a somewhat quieter tone, and the uke includes strings which are workable but not very high-end. So please know ahead of time that this will be a softer, quieter uke. On the plus side, the geared tuners are nice, and the fretboard keeps in tune all up and down the instrument. I really enjoy just reaching for this uke to strum – It’s easy to play, and because of the unique triangular shape, it stands right up. The genius of the Wolfelele is that it is so easy to build, and it truly is. For a first uke building adventure, this is a great choice.

STEP #2 – RSVP FOR YOUR UKE-BUILDING WORKSHOP EVENT
Now that you have ordered your ukulele, it is time to sign up for your uke building event!
We will have 3 workshops scheduled initially.
Each will run two hours (approximately).
Ukes will be left to "set" overnight, so plan on returning the following day to string your uke and take it home!
All workshops will be held at Roy Wood’s house. This is in Addison, near the cormer of Preston Rd. and Beltline Rd. Parking is limited, so Roy has made arrangements to park down the street around the corner. We will send details when the actual workshops get closer.
The three times set for workshops are as follows:
December 7, 2012 –6:30PM –8:30PM Plan on coming back the 8th @ noon)
December 14, 2012 – 6:30PM - 8:30PM (Plan on coming back the 15th @
December 15, 2012 – 2:30PM - 4:30PM (Plan on coming back the 16th @ noon)
Note: Do not sign up for the workshop time until you purchase your ukulele kit!
Note: Some people have asked about installing amps, etc. – Roy and I are discussing this, and will probably hold a workshop to build those ukes in November to accommodate the extra time and details. Contact me separately so I know your interest, and we will let you know when your workshop will be.
Note: EVERYONE will have a spot in the workshops! If we have more than 32 people purchase uke kits, we will open up more workshops!
STEP # 3 – BUILDING YOUR UKE
Dress comfortably and casually. It’s possible that clothing could be soiled in the process of uke building. You do not need to bring anything with you but your enthusiasm and energy. And perhaps a camera, if you wish. Sensible shoes are suggested.
Questions? Ask! Email Mark Levine at - [masked].
See you there!
