New Years Day Jam at The Seafood Shack on Northwest Highway

New Year, new location, new party!

Get your New Year’s off to a good start, and join us at The Seafood Shack! The Seafood Shack has just opened their doors at this easy-to-get-to location on Northwest Highway right where Marsh Lane turns in to Lemmon Ave, and across from Bachman Lake. It’s bright, delicious, and fun!

So, sleep in late on New Year’s Day, then grab your uke and come out to start your New Year right!

We will have New Years Hats, noisemakers, goofy glasses -- All the things to celebrate the New Year!

Not only will you get to play your favorites on the ukulele, but The Seafood Shack offers terrific seafood, the best cocktails and ceviche in Dallas, and Michelada’s!

(If you didn’t know, Michelada’s are a great hangover cure in case you have wonderful New Years Eve plans that involve alcohol! Read about them here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michelada )

Happy New Years Eve! I wanted to let everyone know that we will have party hats and noise makers on a first come first serve basis tomorrow. So come ready to party and play your Uke of course. Everyone is welcome, including non-players and guests. We do ask that you RSVP so we can let the restaurant know how many of us to expect. See ya there!

Does one already have to play an instrument in order to join? Can I come just to listen, support and generate interest in learning to play?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
