Re: [ukulele-84] Only 5 weeks until our disco open-mic, March 3

I have to admit that I am at a loss to think of 'Disco Tunes'.  I kind of skipped that phase because I was busy building a business and raising young children.  You know how I play...what song(s) do you think I could do that would be fun?

Hello, all!

As of today, we already have eleven people on our list of open-mic performers at the upcoming "Disco Night" in a private room at Spaghetti Warehouse--but there's room for more!  If you've been thinking about signing up, you still have time to find a song and prepare.  Before you start practicing, though, send me an email ([address removed]) to let me know what song you'd like to perform and I'll tell you whether anyone has already claimed it.  (We're hoping to avoid duplications in the song line-up.)  Everyone will be able to perform at least two songs, but if you want to have a third prepared, we may have time to get those in as well.  One performer is planning to squish three songs into a medley.

For those not planning to perform, remember to bring your uke anyway.  There will be lots of group numbers where everyone can play along and sing.  A jam book will be available online soon.

By the way, there are only 13 spots left on the rsvp list, so if you want to come, sign up soon!

One more reminder: disco attire is completely optional.  This will be a fun, casual event, regardless of what you wear!
