Tree Town Ukes at Cobblestone Farm Market

WEATHER UPDATE: As of Monday (7/7) the forecast says the sun will come out in the late afternoon, so the show is on.   However, if the weather is bad where you are, please use your own discretion and do not drive if you think it's unsafe. There will be more gigs in the future.

Tune up your uke for a live outdoor show -- Tuesday, July 8 at the Cobblestone Farm Market, located in Buhr Park, Ann Arbor (4 minutes from Oz's Music). Bring: uke, music book, music stand, sun screen, water bottle, Hawaiian shirt (Aloha Shirt) or Tree Town Ukes shirt. Please arrive by 5:45 to tune up and get ready.

Walking or biking to the market is fun! Parking for bicycles is available and for suggested bike routes, see the City of Ann Arbor bike map. If you take the bus, AATA route #7 stops in front of Buhr Park. Cars can enter off of Packard Road, and ample parking is available Buhr Park.

I've had the same question. Guess I don't need to tell myself that it was good to see me. :=)

Oops. Karen. Most of us had cheat sheets tapes onto our Ukes if we needed a bit of help w the songs. We repeated so much which helped to make all easier. Greg said we will be singing and playing all night in our dreams... I'm kind of scared to go to bed now.hohoho. Fun filled morning, I wanted to play longer. I will be back next year with you Karen. Smile.

Hi Karen. Smile. The fireworks on Gun Lake were good, but the fireworks display after were awesome...two houses down from us rt on their lake property. Too close for comfort when the fireworks deside to go a different direction towards their own house. Wanted to send a pic of my brother and I Ukeing together but I don't know how. Cool breezy and sun at Gun Lake Mi.

Ok guys, I actually chickened out and talked myself out of the 4th of July parade, because I didn't have the music memorized, but if will defiantly be at this event with my sheet music and music stand and smile. :-)

I agree it's easiest to enter from Packard. Market area where we sing is on the right.

The cobblestone is inside buhr park? How far from the pool? I'm not familiar with the park

    June 28, 2014

    • moetrout

Yes it is inside Buhr park. Not sure how far from the pool that is. Last time I entered from Packard Rd and parked just beyond the tennis courts. The farm market is by the old barns.

Would it be ok to wear the The Tree Town Uke shirt to Cobblestone gig??or would a Hawaii type shirt be better??

    May 30, 2014

    • moetrout

Yes that is ok. Last time some wore aloha shirts, some TTU T shirts, and others like myself just wore whatever.

      June 27, 2014

  • Alice N.

I don't have an Aloha shirt - would my Muu Muu be overkill?

      All Aloha is beautiful!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
