For those of you who asked for me to post the details of Magdalen's opening act at Crazy Wisdom this Saturday I've posted them below. Magdalen Fossum performing @ Crazy Wisdom Bookstore Saturday, November 27 · 8:00pm @ 114 S. Main St. Ann Arbor, Mi. 48104 Saturday, November 27 Mighty Medicine wsg Magdalen Fossum Magdalen Fossum will be opening the show! Nine year old Magdalen Fossum has been around music her whole life. With musician parents and older siblings who play and sing, and a variety of instruments at her hand, Magdalen began singing at two, writing songs at four, playing piano at five, and by the time she picked up the violin and ukulele at age seven she had begun to perform regularly at her moms music venue/tea house for open stage night. (Magdalenas Tea House, which was named for her.) This regular musical immersion has led her to performances at a variety of events including: Opening act for Claudia Schmidt, Rachael Davis, and May Erlewine, the Mid-Winter Singing Festival in East Lansing, open mic @Michigan music festivals: Blissfest, Hollerfest, Dunegrass, Wheatland and Harvestfest, and gigs at Better Health Cafe. Additionally, you can frequently find Magdalen busking on the streets of East Lansing and Ann Arbor. With a clear and potent voice, charmingly performing old traditionals, contemporary and original songs, Magdalen delights, moves, and inspires all who hear her.
