Who wants to live in Brooklyn, Part II

From: Other B.
Sent on: Friday, August 31, 2012 12:44 PM
Dear You,

Remember this e-mail that I sent out last December?

"Chances are you've heard me rave about my awesome new spot in Park Slope, tucked between 4th and 3rd Ave on 10th St. It comes equipped with:

    Three bedrooms
    Two bathrooms
One large kitchen with a gas stove, dishwasher, etc.
    A backyard for your enjoyment
A parking spot, should you need it
    A distinctly comfortable atmosphere

This is all skipping distance from Prospect Park and several of the best restaurants, bars, hangout spots, museums and libraries in the city. Public transportation options are visible from my window. Also, it's thoroughly affordable--if I can live here on a rental teacher's salary, you should be fine."

I'm sending this to you again, because a) I forgot to mention the finished basement and the AC/DC pint glasses that Kyle got me for Christmas, and b) I am once again looking for a roommate. After nearly two spectacular years, our very own lead guitarist Ben Yang is going solo. We're looking for someone eager to fill big shoes.

You will get a 14'x10' space with a 2'-deep closet and direct backyard access, starting October 1st. You will also get the occasional presence of our delightfully heroic roommate Kate, a writing teacher and humanitarian by practice. Then there's me--this fall I'm spending my days at the Children's Aid Society and my nights and weekends on the Obama Campaign. I have a bag full of references from the kids at PS 121 Throop, and I'm sure both Kate and I can find grownup references should you need them.

Want to stop by and/or move in? Send me an e-mail. Know someone who might be interested? Get them in touch with me. Questions? I will answer them.

Your friend,

PS> If you're on my Organizing for America e-mail list, this is not one of those e-mails. Carry on.

PPS> If you're not on my Organizing for America e-mail list, and would like to be, let me know. I'll be here through November 7.
