Beer Tasting/ St. Patrick's Day

  • Mar 17, 2012 · 6:30 PM

I will be having an ultimate beer tasting/St Patrick's Day party at my place. I need for you to bring your finest imported or domestic beer to share with the beer tasters. I will hand out a few small prizes for the best tasting, crappest tasting, blind taste test & a few others ideas for prizes.

Don't worry if you don't drink beer, come over anyways for the laughs & activities this group will provide.  I will keep the food simple by ordering up a few pizzas & a few snacks. (Sorry, no corn beef & cabbage). Feel free to bring anything beer or St. Patrick's Day related.

*Please post the beer you will be providing so we don't have the same person bringing the same beer.

Sorry, I don't mean to be rude but this is for only members that I know. I hope you understand.

Due to limited space in the refrigerator, I appreciate any size cooler to keep the beer cold.

    1) Caz, I bet you would suggest a "swaparama".

    2) 12 Sounds good. More than sufficient. If everyone brings 12, that means that regardless of any kind of swapping, everyone gets 12 effing beers. Even if anyone decides not to bring any, if they survive the brutal violence that will befall them each person still gets like 10-11 beers. We can share bottles if we want to try everything. I think 10/person is plenty.

Thanks Caz for pointing out the amount of beer to bring. I plan on pouring each beer in a small plastic cup. The amount of beer to bring will depend on how many participants will take part in the tasting. I believe a dozen will be sufficient.

Swaparama? I will leave that up to the individuals.

(Question asked on behalf of everyone else)
Hey John, how much beer should I expect to bring, given that I don't know upfront how many people will be attending? I'm going to the beer store tomorrow and want to make sure to pick up enough of my favorite brew. I don't want to have to go back on the 16th and pick up more because I underanticipated attendance. Would a dozen 12 oz. bottles be sufficient? Two dozen?

Also, what about extras at the end of the night? I would suggest a "swaparama."
