9AM Saturday start time: Please be on the fields by 9:00AM.  The first pull is at 9:30AM.  I'm not going to be a stickler on being on time, especially on a Saturday night , but I'm hoping we can have 7 on the line by the first pull.

9AM Sunday start time: TBD according to the TD.   Assume it's 9AM for now. I will send a follow up email once I get a better idea.

Food and water:  There will be tourney food, but you are essentially on your own.   There will be water - but better safe than sorry to bring your your own food and water.  There's a pizzeria, a sub shop and a Dunkin Donuts near by.

Tournament Format: It's 6:1/5:2 - offense dictates.Total teams: As of last week, there were 14 confirmed teams. They may have gotten another team to make it 3 pools of 5. We'll have plenty of games.

Our team

Team name: Hover Rubbers.  Why? Because we are.

Team colors: Black for Dark, White for Light.  I want to go with other colors or plaid shirts from the salvation army, but I planned poorly.  It will be chilly, so please dress accordingly.

We have a big team:  We have about 19/20 dudes, and 4/5 ladies. I'm only there for half a day for each day, so that should help ease the PT pressure.

I am a big believer of women making a difference in games. We have a solid roster of women, and it's our strength.  I prefer to go 5:2 whenever possible.

For dudes - Please be judicious with PT.  I'm sure many of you can play an entire tournament without rest.  However, please don't conserve energy when playing and run hard.

Please limit yourself to 2 consecutive points. We'll see how self-subbing works out, but if it becomes an issue, I may ask Marco to call subs. I like to win, but it's more important that we have fun.

Hi everyone - I am capping off the RSVPs to this event. Right now we have too many from both groups. if you RSVPd you have a spot. All others will be put on a waiting list if we split up the teams. We're considering splitting the teams if we get 5 more guys and 5 girls. I will update everyone by Monday 3/24.

Hey Wooj I was talking to the princeton guys last night and we were trying to figure out what going on with this. It seemed like they had few people committed but not that many. Do you already have a bid in and we are going for sure? Do you have other people you plan on recruiting? If we are in need of players I know my college team is going, likely with more people then they need , and i could see if we can borrow some newbies from them.

I'm still in the process of recovering from a fractured rib, but I think I should be close to being 100% by tourney time. Plus, I think John didn't reserve yet so we might have a group of 7 here plus whatever number we get from Ryan's group.

Wooj, are your high schoolers thinking of joining too?

This is what I have so far - 7 from EB, about 3-4 from Princeton and about 3-4 from my GM friends from Brooklyn. That makes about 15. It's a really small number. I sent the Rider guys an email on tourney status. I will get a better idea by the end of the week.
