Graham,

I'm not sure my startup counts as ultralight, but i'd be glad to come and pitch. Any restrictions?

All,

The September Ultra Light Startups Entrepreneur's Forum is this Thursday 9/3 on the topic of "Ultra Light Software-as-a-Service". I have just spoken with the four panelists and the moderator for this event and am very excited about the content and the way it will be covered. As this ReadWriteWeb article lays out, the "SaaS stack" is replacing the "Wintel stack" as the preferred delivery mechanism for nearly any application. Today's 2-hour Gmail outage demonstrates perfectly that SaaS has unique challenges as well as unique benefits. If you want to deploy an application over the web, it's essential that these challenges be overcome - and this panel will show us how. Please come prepared with questions.

As has been previously announced, a BBC News video crew will at this event to profile Ultra Light entrepreneurs. If you are interested in this once-in-a-lifetime international news coverage please attend (preferably pitching).

Finally, I have the pleasure of announcing that Laura Allen, Founder of 15 Second Pitch will be running the "introductions by elevator pitch" at this week's event. You can approach her for feedback over pizza or at drinks. It's a great opportunity to get expert advice and polish an essential entrepreneurial skill.

Please note that RSVP'ing on Meetup.com does not reserve a seat at this event. Tickets are $10 (pitch) $20 (no-pitch) and $30 (pay-at-door). Online registration closes 6 hours before the event (ie noon this Thursday). Further details, speaker bios, and registration information can be found at:

We hope to see you on Thursday!

Best regards,
Graham.
