Susan Sontag's Philosophy of Art in 'Against Interpretation.'

Chris Joiner will give a short exposition on aesthetics, from the point of view of Sontag.
He will discuss Ms. Sontag's position, briefly stated, that there can
be no Authoritative Interpretation of a work of art. That "in
place of a hermeneutics we need an erotics of art."
As a group we'll examine what we think of these ideas, and aesthetics in general.
