I want to explain to Authors that we come to decisions on which book to read by consensus. A member has to be excited enough about reading the book that s/he convinces the rest of us to give it a shot.

In short, emailing me will get you nowhere unless you want to create a catered event and mail everybody books, like Henry Holt did for "What Was Lost." So, I'm creating this thread for you to reach out to members directly.

We're not going to read a book unless it has a paperback version and copies in the NYPL, and we infrequently choose non-fiction. But, within those restrictions, pretty much everything's game.
