The goal of this group is to explore and experience the unique culture of Portland and the northwest. Think of it as tourism for locals.

About 50% of the people on every event are newcomers to Portland or to the group. It's a great way to meet new people while enjoying new experiences.

I host at least 20 events on the calendar per month. Most of the events are done on foot, but some are simply showing up at a particular destination for fun.

Events include:

Narrated walking tours of Portland's neighborhoods(including inside tours of factories or other local businesses)

Dining and entertainment walks (highlighting great restaurants, happy hours, wine tastings and entertainment opportunities in the Portland area).

Meet the chef dinners (where we get the chance to talk to the chef about what makes their style unique)

    Fitness walks

Random fun activities thrown in (Acrobatics class, Trampoline, Laser Tag, Scavenger hunts)

Day trips to explore nearby towns and activities available around Portland

And the best part is that you get to do all these events with other people who enjoy getting out as much as you do.

Explanation of fees:

First off, there's no fee to belong to the group. You only pay if you attend a "for pay" event. Fees cover the cost of planning and providing over unique narrated events. Fees are listed at the bottom of each event and do not include admission to venues, which will be stated in the event posting.

I think if you compare this to a commercially guided tour, you will find that it is still an exceptional value.

RSVP ettiquite:
Please be sure to update your RSVP if you will not be able to attend an event, even if the change is last minute. In some cases, you may have to forfeit a payment or will be restricted from signing up for future events. It is important that you repect the leaders and other group members by keeping your RSVP current.

Personal Tours:
Do you have family or friends visiting or just want to do a tour with a small group? I can help show off Portland through a personalized walking tour, or I can help you to plan a fun itinerary. Just contact me through the "Contact us" button on the left.
