Join me on a narrated tour of Portland's bridges.
Our walking tour will cross the Hawthorne, Morrison, Burnside, Steel, and Broadway bridges. I'll even throw in a suspension bridge you can only access on foot. Along the way, I'll share highlights of each of the bridges, including a few that we won't cross (primarily because they are motor vehicle only). The is a good opportunity to learn why one of Portland's nick-names is Bridgetown.
Distance: 5-6 miles
Duration: 2.5 hours
Leashed dogs welcome. Bring rain gear if it rains.
All events start promptly at the time indicated.
I recommend you take public transportation or use the SmartPark at 1st and Jefferson. There is free parking on the east side of the Hawthorne bridge on Water avenue. Just leave yourself time to walk to the start point from there.
Fee for this event is $10.
