OHSU Campus Tour and Walk

  • Nov 27, 2013 · 2:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Explore and learn the history of the OHSU medical center which is precariously built inside a canyon and its two flanking ridges. We'll walk the campus and see highlights such as the OHSU University library, the sky bridge, the History of the Medicine Room and the Dental Anomalies collection before catching the tram back to a starting point.

There is a parking garage near the tram and some on street metered parking. Give yourself time to find a place to park.

Event starts promptly at time indicated. Bring rain gear if it rains.

Cost: $10
Round trip tram fare is $4; Tram is free for Tri-Met monthly pass holders and OHSU employees. The Tram ticket machines located at the lower terminal only accept credit and debit cards, and quarters. They do not accept paper bills or other coins.

Fascinating walk on a campus that can only be described as architecturally eclectic!

Right by my home and I use the OHSU library often but think it would be great to learn the history behind this institution.

Cheri, We will take the tram up and down the bluff. The walk on campus has some stairs, but no long, arduous climbs. I would say no more strenuous than some of our neighborhood and downtown walks.

What is the stairs/upward hill walking situation/reality?
