Unity VR

We are kicking off some VR goodness in Dallas with an event focused on building virtual reality games in Unity.

• How do you incorporate multiple cameras, such as those used by the OculusVR SDK?

• What are some best design practices you should consider for your VR experience?

All of these questions and more will be answered and explored as we kickoff virtual reality development in Dallas!

Had a great time at this VR Event and meeting everyone. If you are interested in doing VR Development for a day on a recurring basis I am hosting a meetup with that focus here http://www.meetup.com/Visual-Purple-Dallas-BYOC-VR-Dev-Meetup/events/211917982/

Thanks Matt for showing us your Rift game and giving us the benefit of your experience with DK2 and VR in general.

I arrived at the later part of the event, but from the last tidbits I saw it was pretty exciting. I would like to see and participate more of the events Robert mentioned towards the end where there might be the possibility of training. Will defenitely be active in this group.

Just found out I am going to be in Austin. Sorry, I can't make it. I will bring our DK2 and samples next meeting. Robert - maybe we can do another one down at our office this year.

Hey Carlos, on the meal part... Bottle Rocket will order some pizza and provide drinks.

If I brought my Xsens MVN mocap system (one suit), would someone be able to show me how it could live stream captured motion to Unity?

    • Duane M.

Thanks, demian, for your reply. I'm definitely familiar with the Xsens information. More to the point, I was having trouble locating the Xsens MVN Unity Tools plugin for Unity. But, found what I was looking for here, https://www.assetstore....

I don't have specific experience with this system. We probably won't be able to set it up and demo it this month.
