Calling All UpFront Members,

We invite you to join us at the 2013 NASA International Space App Challenge on April 20-21 hosted at Ingenology located in the Crossroads Art District at 1810 Cherry.

The goal of this two-day event is for teams to build and open source solutions for a variety of challenges related to space exploration, education and NASA missions.

As an example of what a solution would look like - the Ingenology team is already working on creating an open source, real-time API for Mars weather data being transmitted from the Curiosity rover. This data could be used to populate mobile and web apps or interactive data visualizations.

We're in need of great designers, front-end developers and UX rockstars to join the challenge of building great solutions for this NASA initiative. To see these challenges visit the following link: http://spaceappschallenge.org/challenges/

Until private space travel becomes affordable to the masses, this will be the closest we get to being astronauts. So use this opportunity to build great things for future space exploration.

We look forward to seeing you all here.
