--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary: This is very nice hike for the seasoned hiker. Those who have never hiked much in the past will have a harder time on this trail. Most of the path is very nice and wide, making it very easy to travel with a partner. The trail runs through the forest and gives the hiker a great view of different types of trees and even some shrubs, but there are no overlooks that provide a great view of the area. Once you have hiked for about a mile you will cross over a small creek and the path will fork. At the intersection go right. When you come to another intersection take another right, you will walk over a vehicle barrier. If ever in doubt, stay right. Not long while you are on this path the trail starts to disappear, but you can hear the falls. This is where the trail leaves you on your own to find the falls.

Who attended?

  • 3 attendees
    •  Fantastic hike! Tremendous falls! Fun scrambling! Great company! Color me completely gruntled!
    •  This is by far the most beautiful waterfall in South Carolina. Marianna & Susan both said WOW as they came around the bend to see the First Level. This will be on the schedule again. Yet again we were able to find hand dipped ice cream.
    •  Should be scheduled again after leaf fall. Super multi-tiered falls. Well worth the scramble down
