Who organized?
Caroline and Chauga Bill

Stole this idea from Caroline outright, about a selfish hike.
We will be stopping at 2 places on the Chauga and 1 on the Chattooga. Marianna & I live on the Chauga so it is a river we are interested in. Instead of a punishing hike, this is to be a nice easy day. There are places to wade & swim st stops 2 & 3, that is if there is any water in the rivers then.

Sorry Mike couldn't figure out how to fully standardize this day.

1) Chauga Narrows
1.2 miles total in & out
20 minutes hike time each way
Easy Rated Hike to a class VI rapid (If water)

2) Riley Moore Falls on the Chauga
2 miles total in & out
45 minutes each way
Moderate rated hike down an old loggin road

3) Brasstown Falls
.5 miles total in & out
20 minute walk each way
Moderate rated Hike to the Upper Falls for a 40' drop
Lower falls 1st level 50'
Lower falls 2nd level 35'
Lower falls 3rd level 35'

The Gathering Place for some very fine BBQ is about $ 12.00/person. I mention this as it is located on Brasstown road deep in the heart of the Mountains. They offer BBQ Pork, Chicken or Beef.

Car Pooling for this hike should take into account the nature of this trip, Some may want to join later or leave early. This is also the same weekend as the SC Apple Festival in Westminster, culminating with the Rodeo Finals Saturday Night, if you are interested here is the link for the Festival http://www.westminste...

ALWAYS BRING WATER AND SOMETHING TO EAT.

Everyone meet in Walmart parking area behind Zaxby's 1636 Sandifer Blvd
Seneca, SC 29678 We'll leave at 10:00 am.

I'll be at the Seneca Walmart - everyone from Gville probably knows this but you might want to avoid going thru Clemson tomorrow -at least on the way home- if that was the route you wanted - home football game, 3:30pm kickoff.

Want to meet at Ryans in G'ville and return after the BBQ. Wondering if we have enough people wanting to do likewise?
