I've got sausage balls (those bisquick/cheddar cheese/sausage ones, you know?) banana bread and zucchini bread :) -- hey Janice, I'll probably be using my tent tonight after all - if anyone sees this before you leave for Santee, could you all pls look out for a good tent spot for me in the daylight? set up won't be that big a deal but finding a good spot might be the hardest part about the after-dark factor. see you all a little after 8! man do I need this!!!! tks so much Janice!!!!!

It does not matter what time you leave but it would be great to get there before dark and have to put up your tent in the dark. I plan on leaving around 11 or so because I am stopping off in Columbia and picking up my kids kayak. that will put me there around 3-5 depending on traffic. If you need to borrow a tent just let me know. Hope you can make it. It you cannot get off work any time of arrival is good.

    1. What time are you leaving exactly from Greenville? I need to know to get the day off from work Friday. 2. Do I need to bring my own tent? Thank you.

    •  I had a wonderful time. The camp site was right beside the lake and we had a nice fire each night as well as mornings. This is a very pretty park with a lot of wild life. Will like to go again. Thanks Janice for organizing.
    •  Santee was really a unique and scenic place. We enjoyed seeing many beautiful great herons, hearing the pileated woodpeckers, walks on the lake beach in dark and daylight, the rangers young black labradors visiting us at the campsite and racing ahead of us on the first few miles of our ten mile trek, and especially the super camp fire lit by Janice early Sunday morn, which erased all memories of the chilly night and sent us off very happy with our weekend adventure.
    •  the roaring campfire kept us warm both night and morning, was a great campsite right on the lake and for some reason we were the only ones there. Was a great place to be and we will be going back sometime. Thanks to everyone who came. Had a great time.
