http://files.usgwarchives.net/sc/pickens/cemeteries/p052.txt After the regular hike was over, the people in my car stopped and visited Long Shoals and hiked the little loop trail. We also went to the Friendship Cemetery which appears to have been associated with a church on that site which came to be destroyed in a wind storm about 1955. See the link.

What a perfect day! It was great to meet everyone - and I'm glad the dip wasn't a required part of the hike! :)

I would like to attend. I am not a member, this would be my first hike with the group. I would drive to the park, since I live in Anderson.

Much as I hate to do this, since tomorrow will probably be beautiful, but I have to cancel because I just have too much to do. Have fun!

So I don't see rain in the forecast for tomorrow. It says a high of 66 and sunny. Bring your carmeras. Maybe we will see some spring flowers!

I'll meet you at the office on the trail side at 9:45? It takes me exactly 45 min to drive there from Clemson.

Caroline, The Raven Rock Trail has recently been rerouted. See www.southcarolinaparks.com/keoweetoxaway for an updated trail map Feb. 2013. It is different from the link posted in the description. Office hours are 11am-noon and 4pm-5pm so you may want to print out a new map. I will meet you at the park office parking lot. Does 10am sound about right.

You had me up until "Strenuous." I've learned that "Jeff" & "strenuous" definitely do not make good bedfellows. Or hiking partners. Whatever. :-)
