Hike description: We are going to be hiking to Big Falls on the Thompson River and maybe make a stop at a few others on the way.  The trail is mainly moderate until you get to the last bit to Big Falls where it gets very steep.  I would say that part is not a hike. It's more of a slide.  The waterfall is great though and well worth the trip.

Fee:  None

Carpool fee for gas:  $5 - $7 (depending on number of passengers in  the car)

Safety Rules:

1.  Always stay behind the leader and in front of the sweep.

2.  If you get separated from the group, sit down in the trail and blow your whistle.  We will look for you.

    I am really hoping those of us who didn't make it get to soon, really soon. These type of hikes are what got me hooked on the challenging side of hiking. Anyone up for planning it? Shari?

    This was a hike to one of those places that few people get to see. A little steep but well worth the effort to get there :-)

    Thanks for leading us there. A wonderful, challenging hike. The power of the falls was stunning and the climb down and back a lot of fun.

    It was a long way away and in need of maintenance, but the hike and falls were worth it.

    I've sent you all an email about the Pickens location. If you were planning to meet us at TD Bank, that may not be the best choice. Please call me to make an alternate arrangement. Thanks.

    Donna;
    Are you sure you want to slide to a waterfall? I've heard you're not too graceful (:
