This is our annual hike to Craggy Gardens on the Blueridge Parkway. It typically has beautiful rhododendron fields in June.
Leave at 9:00 a.m. sharp.
Difficulty: Very Strenuous
Mileage: About 11 to 12 Miles approximately
Required: Whistle, water, and a lunch
Paid up members will be given preference on this hike. If you have not paid your dues yet, you could potentially be bumped from this hike to make room for a paid member. Please keep this in mind when you RSVP. Thank you.

Hike organizers can: Remove you from a hike if you sign up for a hike beyond your capability. If you have any doubt at all that you or your guest can't physically handle this hike, please email me (don't post on the hike page) and check with me about this.
Dogs allowed: No
Children under 14: You must check with the hike leader before you sign up with your child please. We need to assess their capabilities.
Hike description: Craggy Pinnacle Trail (1.4 RT); Graybeard Mountain Parking Overlook to MST (about 2 miles RT); Craggy Picnic Trail to trail shelter ( 1.6 RT); Picnic area MST to views on Snowball Mountain Trail and Back (6RT). RT = round trip.
Carpool fee for gas: $8 to $10 (depending on number of passengers in the car) and price of gas.
1. Always stay behind the leader and in front of the sweep.
2. If you get separated from the group, sit down in the trail and blow your whistle. We will look for you.
