Was wondering if anyone is interested in car pooling from Simpsonville so we do not have to leave car overnight at Walmart. Would look to depart around 8:15 on Friday morning to join group at Walmart by 9:00.

Two questions. Can I hike Linville Gorge and skip Sun? I have not hiked with your group before but I completed a 500 mile bike ride back and forth across the Rockies in June this year. I'm not fast on climbing up steep inclines but I have pretty good endurance. I also have done numerous solo wilderness hikes in the past and I'm sure I could make it alone but I would prefer to meet new people to hike with. Can you accept me onfriday and sat?

FYI: As of noon today, the campground will be closed due to the government shut down. Hopefully, a new budget will be agreed upon and can open back up by Friday.

Yes this is correct. Does anyone have a suggestion for campgnd in linville if govt fails us?

      October 1, 2013

Jack. Thanks for the update. Not too optimistic they will solve it by then. Any thoughts for plan B?
