Up The Creek Ski & Rec Club's 70's Music Revival Dance Party

The 70's Music Revival is in just a few days!  It's THIS Saturday, September 27th!   Don't stress if you don't have a costume.  Wear jeans, shorts or whatever you wish but DO PLAN TO ATTEND.  You do not have be in 70's attire!  Just come and join in the fun.

Go back in time to this fantastic era of music.  Enjoy and dance to all your favorite 70's hits.  Want to join in on the fun?  Wondering what to wear? You could consider letting your 70's outfit double as your Halloween Costume - a two for one! Here are some ideas:

Bell Bottoms / Flared Pants

Shimmery Shirts / Tops

Big Chain with a Medallion

Hot Pants

Nehru Jackets

Go Go Boots

Leisure Suit

Big Hair / Afro Wigs

Oversized Sunglasses

Mini Skirts

Platform Soled Shoes

Remember "Saturday Night Fever" with John Travolta? Satin Jackets, open neck shirts with the collar turned up, mini skirts with a form-fitting shimmery top. If you have a pair of bootcut jeans, you're half-way there! You could add a tie-dyed shirt, a chain with a big medallion, some big sunglasses and you're in the 70's!  Although there will be prizes for the best dressed 70's female and male, you don't have to dress in 70's attire.  Wear whatever you want - shorts, jeans etc. The point is, don't stress over what to wear.  If you want to dress like the 70's, great!  If not, that's ok too, but do plan to attend!  Here are the details:

Kellie I don't think your criticism is very constructive at all. I am a newbie to this group also. My first meetup that I did with this group was at a bar, which I think is a lot more appropriate then a party. I was actually thinking about leaving after about the first half hour but some of the members could tell I was new and invited me into there conversation, I bounced around and had a great time. The Disco party was my second meetup and I only new a few people but by the end of the party I knew a few more. As for the food being in the dark , it was a party it was dark. I don't think that was a big deal to have to use your phone to see. They handed cards to the people they felt had the best costumes on. This was my second meetup and I was picked? How can that be since you thought that it seemed rigged? I think you need to give them another chance cause the people that I've met have welcomed me with open arms.

It's always fun to dress for a theme night. Looking forward to dressing the part, dancing, socializing, and making new friends. In case you don't recognize me, I'll be wearing a curly blonde wig, mini dress, and black go-go boots. Shelley.
