The Philadelphia Urban Exploration group connects local explorers to sites located in or near the Philadelphia area. If you love decay, caves, and abandoned buildings then this group is for you. We are an active group that travels near and far to find the hidden treasures that are left behind. We have a variety of events focusing on buildings in certain areas and their abandonments, while enjoying activities also in these area's such as; camping, hiking, caving, and even kayaking. We also encourage sharing of photos and seeking out new locations with scouting events. If you're interested in joining us then, fill out the profile questions and let us know how you would like to get involved; (Please note, that if you do not fill out all of your profile questions, we can not gauge your interest, and you will not be accepted into the group). Please be advised, exploring abandoned and decaying places can be a dangerous activity. By joining this group, you take full personal responsibility for your own well-being, no person in the group, including leadership, shall be in any way liable for personal injury of any type.
Our Mid-Atlantic Paranormal Society (MAPS) connects local explorers to haunted places that may or may not be decayed and abandoned buildings in and around the Philadelphia area. Our certified thermographer investigates these buildings for paranormal activity using thermal imaging equipment (this is what he was trained to do as a thermographer). We will have another meetup event at the Philadelphia navel ship yard. Please play the video of what other members of our group found when they went on a scouting mission to see the condition of the Philadelphia navy ship yard. This site has deserted and abandoned ships as well as buildings.
