Summer Kick-Off (all club) Bike in Picnic and Game Day!!!!

Summer is right around the corner, and as social beings whom like to ride bikes we are excited.   What better way to get summer off to a great start than with a summer kick-off bike in picnic and game day.  As it stands now, this is what we have up our sleeves.  This will be a multi-club and organization bike in picnic, open to all whom loves bikes, riding them, and generally hanging out and having a good time!

The fun loving mob will descend upon Richie Ditta's new Shop Brooklyn Bikes(across the street from Blind Lady Ale House) at 12:45pm, for a 1pm firm ride time.   Proposed route will be through Normal Heights, North Park, and over to Henry's/Sprouts Market for any last minute picnic/potluck pickups.   Once the kids are all well stocked, we can work our way through Hill Crest, Mission Hills and to our final destination Presidio Park.

I figured the group will end up at the park around 2pm.  From there its anybodies game, but its bound to be fun and a great way to meet other like minded people who love bikes and riding them.  I will commit to bringing my DJ speakers to pump a little Reggae and other great summer tunes.  So do you part to bring games, blankets, chairs, or just commit to bringing some yummy food to share and your best OP short shorts and tacky Hawaiian shirt (always spices things up a bit! :) I figured well be there til 5-6pm or whenever people get tired of my bad jokes!

Also just announced Presidio Park is a one of the last parks in SD County where you can drink,  so we are going to be getting a few kegs of local craft beer!  So bring $5 bucks (suggested donation) for a bottomless cups while supply last.  You know you like it!! :)

Should be an awesome day for biking in and around San Diego, so don't be shy and invited a friend or two!  Lets kick it off right and make this the best year yet for biking and bike culture in San Diego's history!

Looking forward to it!

Had a super time (and perhaps a little too much to drink!) Thanks for the organizing, the conversations with friendly folks and the chance to flail around with hacky sack and shuttlecock! Fun times!

It was great. The ride wasn't to fast so keeping up wasn't hard with the doggie trailer in tow. The park area chosen was great and the dogs go to run around free with no one being bothered. The tunes were a nice. I even got a short nap in.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
