Commercial buildings waste up to 30% of the energy they consume according to the EPA. Various approaches are being used to try to effectively manage and reduce this waste. Smart metering technology is becoming more prevalent, yet most buildings only have one or a handful of data points to describe the consumption of the building in its entirety. Circuit-Level energy monitoring is an approach that seeks to capture consumption of the individual circuits coming out of the electrical panel to gather more granular data of usage in real-time. That data combined with software can provide insights into how to save energy and money.

Speaker Bio:
Felix is the Leader Software Developer at Enertiv, an Energy Monitoring Company. He has led the development of the Enertiv Platform, which coupled with the EnertivOne provides data and insights to enable Owners, Operators, and Occupants information on how much energy their building is consuming and most important, what they can do about it. Prior to Enertiv, Felix worked as a Strategy Consultant to a leading South African gold mining firm and before that building algorithmic trading systems that focused on equities and futures.
