Join us for what will be a lovely family friendly afternoon in Redmond on the afternoon of October 13th. A walk around Redmond's many trails kicked off by the mayor, some guidance from the Redmond Historical Society, ending with some music and lawn games. In celebration of the City of Redmond's Centennial
Feet First presents the Luke McRedmond Walk

Saturday, October 13, 2012
2:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Join this Centennial Walk to explore the history of Redmond. The walk is family friendly and all ages and abilities are welcome. Mayor Marchione will open the event with a few remarks and lead the start of the walk.

Select a 6.5 or 3.3 mile trail walk, and walk at your own pace

A narrative tour of downtown historical district led by the Redmond Historical Society along with music and lawn games to follow the walk.

For extra fun along the way, stop at five stations along the way and receive playing cards with historical or significant people and places in Redmond. At the end of the walk, use your cards to play in the poker tournament. The best poker hand wins a Wine Lover's Package for one night, courtesy of the Redmond Inn.

Start and End at City Hall Municipal Campus (15670 NE 85th Street)

Select between a 6.5 or 3.3 mile trail walk both walks will end in a narrative tour of the downtown historical district led by the Redmond Historical Society. The walks will end with music and lawn games.

    Thanks for posting this Helen. I was there a little after 2pm. Don't think I saw you, but forgot I signed up here. Brought 3 others from my Eastside Social Club and we did the 3.5 mil walk.

      Oh we probably saw each other. I headed out on the shorter walk and was near the front and the tallest woman around if not the tallest person. I was wearing a black Opera Rock shirt with a sandy colored rain coat and a black knit baseball style cap. Was with a guy in a 2 tone jacket and a gal in a black safari type rain hat. We were talking up a storm. Made those 2 hours fly by. :)
