Reston Challenge 2012 Spring Festival

Reston Challenge 2012 Spring Festival

Also referred to as Corn Toss, Bean Toss, and Soft Horseshoes. We call it Cornhole. If you are familiar with the game consider registering for this charity event. Teams will be placed in round robin brackets based on when entry and payment are received. Pre-registration is required.

This year’s event will be held at the Lake Anne Plaza on May 12th 11am – 5pm. Net proceeds benefit the 4Paws Rescue Team, the community nonprofit chosen by Northern Virginia residents.

This free-to-enter festival along beautiful Lake Anne features local craft breweries (Lost Rhino brewery and more), local restaurants, a corn hole tournament with top prize valued at $500, and a local music lineup by Bach to Rock. There is also a costume contest for all ages and scavenger hunt for the families/kids.

We will be a lake anne plaza all morning. The farmers market starts at 8am. Come any time before 1pm if you want to practice. Tournament starts at 1. Wear what you would normally wear. You are not going to over exert yourself. Most people play with a beverage in their non-throwing hand. All you have to do is throw a small bag filled with corn about 25 feet and hope it either lands on a 2ft by 4ft board or in the 6 inch hole on the board. You can pay cash or credit at the festival.

I like to learn and will donate $5. Where is the practice? What time? Where do I pay $5? How do I dress for the game?

Hi Seble - We will have practice games all morning for $5 donation if you want to learn. If not, come on out and enjoy the weather, the live music, the arts & crafts, the beer, wine, and food. Most people that are not playing cornhole are RSVPing on Facebook:

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
