Early Easy hike - Avenues BST

For an easy afternoon hike, we will hike along the Bonneville Shoreline Trail (BST) to an overlook with fantastic views of the valley and Wasatch mountains to the northeast.

Meetup directions: In the Avenues, follow I street north. It will turn into North Hills Drive heading west, then it will turn east and turn into Northmont Way/18th Ave. You will drive over two large speed bumps. Look for the LDS Church on the left side, and park on the east side of the church. We will walk one block to the trail head. The trail head gets packed quickly, and there aren't enough parking spaces so that's why we will meet there.

We will leave the parking lot at 5:20pm.

Distance: 3mi round trip

Elevation: 800 ft

Dogs: allowed off leash.

Kid Friendly: yes, this is perfect

Feel free to bring a snack or beverage to share. We will hang out at the top to enjoy the view for a little bit.

Please could you make a little more specific detailing how to get meet up location? Which avenue will I need to reach? I am not familiar with the area, thanks :-)

head north on 700 east all the way until you hit the T, or E South Temple. Turn left at that T. Take an immediate right, onto I Street. Follow the rest of directions above.
