This trail is known as the "bear cave" trail to locals. We will meet at the 3500 E Park and Ride and carpool to the correct trailhead which is just north of where the last hike began. Because of right of way issues, you have to hike to the hike for about 1/4 mile along a dirt path. This is very shaded and beautiful once you get into the canyon.
This goes as far as 4.2 miles RT and Elevation gain of 1,120 feet. The main difficulty is river crossings, so it would be wise to bring wool socks and/or an extra pair of socks and/or water shoes. Hopefully lower water will make this a little easier this time as well as logs which provide a path over the river.
CHANGE-Dogs are NOT ok in this canyon, sorry it is a watershed.
Canyon inn down the street afterwards.
