Summer is here! Been wanting to start trail running, and the wait is over. It's like hiking, but faster!

Since, we changed trails last week due to weather, I'm putting this one back up.

We hiked this the first week of June. Great views and not your typical hike up then hike down type of trail. A Jeep road leads to a dirt trail, then to a game trail, before it disappears completely. Soon you’re following nothing more than a ridge-line of rolling foothills overlooking Emigration Canyon to the north and Parley’s Canyon to the south. Beginning at Little Mountain, where pioneers began their final descent into the Salt Lake Valley, a walk along the ridge-line recaptures the feeling of crossing the plains on foot.

We'll meet at the Park and Ride, then carpool to the trailhead.

Length: 5.2 total miles

Elevation Gain: 1,139 feet

Trail Type: Out-and-back

Skill Level: Moderate

Trailhead Elevation: 6,237 feet

Top Elevation: 7,376 feet

Dogs: not allowed(watershed area)

Afterwards there will be an option to go our for dinner and drinks.
