Providence UX Meetup: Make it work, Hackathon Fundamentals

Think about that great idea you have, for a product or company, that you haven’t built yet. If you have trouble making progress, maybe a hackathon is what you need.

Learn about how you can (and why you should) harness these fast-paced, competitive events to push forward both your ideas and yourself. Marissa shares her experiences from past hackathons, and what you should know before attending a hackathon of your own

Marissa Epstein is the art director at Figmints, a small branding, UI/UX, and marketing studio. She started her design career in high school, followed by a Graphic Design bachelors and Psychology minor under the University of Cincinnati’s design and co-op program. Her work has run the gamut, from packaging big brands like Wrigley and Kraft (Macaroni & Cheese), to creating thoughtful websites and experiences for startups, with branding always at the center. Marissa hails from south Florida, and currently resides in Providence with her boyfriend, Will Farrell (not that one).
