Storytelling for User Experience - Whitney Quesenbery & Kevin Brooks

  • Mar 25, 2014 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Last meetup we read about and discussed how to use comics as part of your work in UX. For our next meetup we'll be doing the same, but with storytelling instead of comics. The winner of the UX Book Club survey was Storytelling for User Experience by Whitney Quesenbery & Kevin Brooks.

In their book, Quesenbery and Brooks discuss how to collect, select, craft, and use stories for all aspects of UX work. To stick with the storytelling theme, each of the ideas presented in the book is illustrated with a story.

Please come prepared to discuss the book. This isn't a presentation, but rather a discussion about the book and how we can use it to improve our work as UXers. Please only RSVP if you intend on reading the book and attending the event. All levels of experience in the industry are welcome. This will be a pretty informal conversation, so it's great to have people with varied interests and experience. Hope to see you there!

You can purchase and download a digital copy of the book at http://rosenfeldmedia.com/books/storytelling-for-ux/

Maybe a little late this time around, but for anyone who hasn't bought the book yet... We have a discount code to use on the Rosenfeld Media site - UXBCVAN. Thanks Lynne!
