Tapworthy - Josh Clark

Whether you're a designer, programmer, manager, or marketer, Tapworthy teaches you to "think iPhone" and helps you ask the right questions -- and get the right answers -- throughout the design process. You''ll explore how considerations of design, psychology, culture, ergonomics, and usability combine to create a tapworthy app. Along the way, you''ll get behind-the-scenes insights from the designers of apps like Facebook, USA Today, Twitterrific, and many others.

We're a bit off our book selection cycle, so I wanted to pick an easy read for this next one. This is supposed to be a great book on designing for mobile devices, and will also be a more visual book that most of our selections, which I think is appropriate for summer reading.

Please come ready to discuss the book. This isn't a presentation, but rather a discussion about the book and how we can use it to improve our work as UX Designers (or whatever you call yourself). We're going to limit the number of spots available, so only take a spot if you intend on reading the book and attending the event.

All levels of experience in the industry are welcome. This will be a pretty informal conversation, so it's great to have people who's interests and experience are varied.

You can grab the book from Chapters or directly from O'Reilly (it seems to be more expensive in ebook form...)

See you there.
