Putting Care in Context: Empowering Patients to Share Their Barriers to Good Health

Hello All,

I would like to let you know about a design challenge from Mad*Pow & Health 2.0’s HxRefactored conference, sponsored by the California HealthCare Foundation.

There is growing consensus that to provide effective care, the health care system must understand the hurdles in patients’ lives that impact their health, like hunger, unstable housing, stress, and isolation. But there is not yet a good way to engage patients to proactively share this information. Can you design a tool or experience that engages patients to recognize, chronicle, and share information with their providers about the hurdles in their lives?

Bring your creativity to bear on this challenge, and help us develop new approaches to get people to put their care in context.

Entries are due June 27, and $10,000 in prizes will be awarded.

Learn more and pre-register at: http://bit.ly/CareInContext.
